Insurance-Based ABA Services
Our insurance-based ABA services are designed to provide individualized, compassionate, and collaborative support for your child and family.
Through a team-based approach, your child receives direct therapy from a trained Behavior Technician (RBT) under the ongoing supervision and guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) while meeting insurance requirements for treatment delivery.
What You Can Expect
We begin with a phone consultation to learn more about your child, discuss concerns and goals, verify insurance benefits, and answer any questions about the ABA process.
Our team works with your insurance provider to verify coverage, review eligibility, and guide you through the intake and authorization process.
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts an individualized assessment to better understand your child’s strengths, communication, behavior, learning style, and support needs.
Based on the assessment, the BCBA develops a personalized treatment plan with meaningful goals tailored to your child and family’s priorities. The treatment plan is then submitted to insurance for authorization.
Once approved, your child begins 1:1 therapy sessions with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) under ongoing BCBA supervision. Sessions focus on communication, social skills, daily living skills, play, behavior support, and independence through engaging, natural interactions.
We believe parents are an essential part of the therapy process. Throughout services, families receive regular communication, parent training, progress updates, and collaborative support to help carry strategies into everyday life.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about our ABA therapy services in New York City? We’re here to help.
Insurance-based ABA therapy is a structured service that uses evidence-based strategies to help children develop meaningful skills in communication, social interaction, independence, emotional regulation, and other areas of daily life. Services are delivered by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Most direct therapy sessions are provided by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who has received specialized training in ABA. Your child’s program is developed, supervised, and regularly updated by a BCBA.
The BCBA oversees all aspects of your child’s treatment, including conducting assessments, developing treatment goals, supervising therapy sessions, monitoring progress, training staff, and collaborating with families to ensure services remain individualized and effective.
The RBT works directly with your child during therapy sessions, teaching skills, implementing behavior support strategies, collecting data, and helping your child practice goals developed by the BCBA.
Most insurance plans require a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and may have additional requirements for ABA coverage. Requirements vary by insurance provider.
Coverage varies by insurance plan. During the intake process, we can help verify your benefits and explain any coverage requirements, authorizations, or potential out-of-pocket costs.
The number of recommended therapy hours is determined by the BCBA based on your child’s individual needs and assessment results. Insurance providers ultimately review and authorize the recommended services.
Children learn best when the important people in their lives are involved in the learning process. Parent involvement helps promote consistency across environments, supports skill generalization, and provides caregivers with practical strategies they can use in everyday routines and activities.
